John Puster, JH and HS band director, began teaching at Triway Local Schools in the 1995-96 academic year.  Mr. Puster received his HS diploma from West Holmes Local Schools in 1987, his Bachelors of Music Education degree from The College of Wooster in May of 1991, and his Masters of Music Education degree from The University of Akron in December of 1994.  Before teaching at Triway, Mr. Puster was a band director at Jackson Local Schools for two years. He is excited that the Triway administration has allowed the band program to use the ‘team-teaching’ model – beginning the 2018-19 academic year.

The Triway band program is founded upon 3 pillars: Musicianship, Character, and Service.  The program’s vision statement is: Make Music. Make a Difference.

Mr. Puster enjoys time with his family, wife Melissa and daughter Anna, and his dog Katie.  He also enjoys golfing and fishing and working outside with landscaping.
